Test-driving HighLevel SaaS Pro — the prospect's free trial path

If you've never been on HighLevel and you want to start at the top tier — full SaaS Mode, rebilling, white-label — the Pro Trial link is how you do it without paying $497 upfront.

There are two ways to get into HighLevel SaaS Pro. If you’re already a HighLevel customer, you fill out the upgrade form and pay $497 starting on your next cycle. If you’re new and want to start at the Pro tier without paying $497 to find out it’s not for you — this is your path.

The Pro Trial drops you into a full SaaS Pro account from day one. Rebilling, white-label, AI Employee margins, the works. Free to try, no card required to start.

Who this trial is actually for

Be honest with yourself before clicking through. The Pro Trial is the right entry point if you fit one of these three profiles:

1. You’re starting an agency from scratch and you already know SaaS Mode is the model. You don’t want to learn HighLevel on Starter, get comfortable, then upgrade later. You want to learn the top-tier interface the first time.

2. You’re moving an existing agency from another platform. You’re coming off ClickFunnels, Kajabi, ActiveCampaign, or a hand-rolled stack. You have clients today and you want to evaluate whether HighLevel’s SaaS Mode is the migration target.

3. You’re a solo operator who’s planning to white-label. You’re not running a 10-person agency, but you’ve got services you sell — and you want to put them inside a branded dashboard your clients log into.

If you’re a hobbyist exploring “what’s HighLevel?” — use the standard trial instead (the default link). Pro’s interface has more knobs and you’ll waste the trial trying to figure out which ones matter.

What you can actually do in 14 days on Pro

Most trials get wasted because there’s too much to evaluate. Here’s a structure that tells you whether Pro fits — not whether HighLevel fits.

Days 1–3 — Set up SaaS Mode

  • Configure your white-label dashboard URL.
  • Set your agency branding (logo, colors, support email).
  • Configure rebilling markups for SMS, email, voicemail, and AI usage. Pick numbers — you can change them later.
  • Create your first sub-account as if it were a real client. Even if it’s a test, treat it like one.

Days 4–9 — Build a real client snapshot

This is the test. Build the funnel + automation + pipeline you’d ship to a real customer. Pick a real industry: a chiropractor, an HVAC company, a fitness coach. Build their workflow as if they’re starting Monday.

Pro is sold on the client-side experience. If the snapshot you build doesn’t feel obviously better than what they’d get from a Wix + Mailchimp + Calendly + Stripe stitch, the upgrade isn’t worth it for you yet.

Days 10–14 — Pitch one real prospect

Take the snapshot you built and show it to one actual prospective client. Don’t sell. Just walk them through it. Do they get excited? Confused? Indifferent? Their reaction is more useful than any feature list.

If they ask “how much?” — you know Pro is right for you.

The trap most people fall into

The most common trial failure mode on Pro: building Pro features for a business that doesn’t exist yet.

You sign up, get excited about rebilling, spend three days configuring markups… for no clients. Day 14 rolls around and you realize you’ve test-driven the chassis but never started the engine.

Avoid that. Before you start the trial, write down on paper:

  • One real industry you’ll build a snapshot for.
  • One real person (a friend who owns a business, a former coworker, a prospect from LinkedIn) you’ll show that snapshot to during the trial.
  • One real number you need rebilling to clear to be worth it (“I need to clear $400/month/client in rebilling margin to justify the upgrade”).

Without those three, the trial becomes feature-tourism. With them, day 14 is a clear yes or no.

What happens after the trial ends

Three paths:

Convert to Pro paid ($497/month). Card goes on file, account stays exactly as it is, all your work continues.

Downgrade to Unlimited ($297) or Starter ($97). You lose Pro-specific features (rebilling, AI Employee margins) but keep all your sub-accounts and builds. A common landing spot for agencies who aren’t ready to resell yet.

Cancel. You lose Pro access. Export anything you want to keep before day 14 ends — HighLevel doesn’t auto-archive.

Start the SaaS Pro trial

If you’d rather not figure out the Pro setup alone — build the SaaS Mode dashboard, set up rebilling markups, ship your first client snapshot — that’s exactly what we do at Funnelab. Book a 30-minute call and we’ll scope a fixed-quote build inside your trial account.

FAQ

Quick answers.

What's the difference between this trial and the regular 14-day trial?
The regular trial puts you on the Starter plan. The Pro Trial puts you on the SaaS Pro plan with full rebilling, AI Employee margins, and white-label features active. Same trial structure — free, no card to start — but you're test-driving the top tier, not the entry tier.
How long is the trial?
Confirm directly on the trial page when you click through — HighLevel has run both 14-day and 30-day trial structures for SaaS Pro depending on the promo window. The page you land on shows the active length.
Do I need clients lined up to use the trial?
No, but you'll get more out of it if you do. Pro's defining feature is rebilling — and rebilling is meaningless without a client to bill. Either come in with a real client account ready to onboard, or accept that you're trial-ing the chassis without test-driving the engine.
What happens if I don't convert?
Cancel before the trial ends and you pay nothing. You'll lose the Pro features and any sub-accounts you built — though you can export contacts and snapshots before you bounce.
Can I downgrade to Unlimited or Starter after the trial?
Yes. You can convert into Pro paid, downgrade to Unlimited ($297) or Starter ($97), or cancel entirely. Plenty of agencies trial Pro, decide the rebilling isn't ready for them yet, and downgrade to Unlimited for 6 months.
